The ARB Max F30 is a versatile 12-inch disc wood chipper engineered for professional arborists, tree surgeons and forestry contractors working on small to medium-scale operations. With a choice of two Stage V compliant powerplants and wheeled or tracked chassis options, the F30 can be configured to suit a wide range of working environments and operator requirements.
Power comes from either a CAT C3.6 engine producing 100kW (134hp) or a more compact Deutz 2.9 L4 unit delivering 55kW (75hp). Both engines meet the latest Stage V emissions standards, ensuring compliance on all job sites including urban tree work and environmentally sensitive areas. The wheeled variant weighs 3,100kg while the tracked configuration comes in at 3,800kg, providing excellent ground pressure distribution for soft or uneven terrain.
At the heart of the F30 is a 50-degree angled cutting disc fitted with 2 knives and backed by 3 anvils, feeding through a 330mm x 310mm aperture. This configuration delivers clean, consistent chip output at an approximate throughput of 50 cubic metres per hour. The generous 1,320mm x 800mm hopper opening makes feeding timber fast and efficient, reducing cycle times on site.
The chipping chamber features full Hardox construction throughout, providing outstanding wear resistance and long service life even when processing abrasive or contaminated timber. A 100-litre fuel tank and 80-litre hydraulic tank ensure extended running between refuelling stops during intensive chipping operations.
All machine functions are monitored and controlled through a 4.3-inch HMI colour screen, giving the operator clear real-time feedback on engine parameters, operating modes and system diagnostics. The intuitive interface simplifies daily operation and helps identify maintenance requirements before they become costly issues.
The tracked variant comes equipped with stabilising rams and a dozer blade, extending the machine’s versatility beyond pure chipping work. Whether processing brash on a woodland clearing or chipping roadside arisings in an urban setting, the ARB Max F30 delivers reliable performance in a compact and manoeuvrable package.
