FSI D74

The FSI D74 is the flagship model in the FSI stump grinder range, powered by a Kohler KDI2504TCR 74 HP water-cooled diesel engine. Delivering the highest output of any FSI machine, the D74 features a class-leading 230 cm sweep width and a 735 mm diameter cutter wheel with 28 FSI 29 teeth for maximum material removal.

With up to 50 cm cutting depth below ground level and 94 cm above, the D74 handles the largest stumps encountered in professional tree care operations. The maximum cutting depth of 12.3 cm per sweep is the highest in the FSI range, significantly reducing the time required to remove large stumps. Power is transmitted through a T-gear and double-sided V-belt drive for optimal efficiency.

The hydraulic 4WD ground drive with electro-hydraulic differential lock provides excellent traction across all terrain types. The FSI power-drive two-speed system offers 2WD HI for faster distance travel and 4WD LOW for maximum traction during stump grinding. Built-in hydraulic motor brakes and counterbalance valve prevent the machine from slipping on slopes.

Full remote control operation comes as standard, giving the operator freedom to choose the best viewing position while staying at a safe distance. Double hydraulic cylinders provide a stable and precise sweep movement, with the FSI power-sweep autopilot system automatically optimising grinding speed for peak performance.

At 1,725 kg, the D74 delivers exceptional stability. The machine is just 890 mm wide, extending to 1,520 mm with twin wheels. Standard features include an electrical controlled mechanical clutch with brake, two LED work lights, a heavy-duty chip guard, lockable storage, integrated lashing and lifting points, a 12V outlet for charging the remote, and a complete tool set. An optional rear-mounted dozer blade provides extra cutting depth up to 60 cm and assists with ground levelling after stump removal.
