The FSI D60 4WD is a professional self-propelled stump grinder powered by a Hatz 3H50TICD 60 HP water-cooled diesel engine. The wheeled 4WD variant offers outstanding manoeuvrability combined with powerful cutting performance, featuring a 220 cm sweep width and up to 47 cm cutting depth below ground level.
The hydraulic 4WD ground drive with differential lock on the front axle provides excellent traction across varied terrain. The FSI power-drive two-speed system allows the operator to choose between 2WD HI for distance travel and 4WD LOW for increased traction during stump grinding. Built-in hydraulic motor brakes and a counterbalance valve prevent the machine from slipping back during grinding on slopes.
At 1,250 kg, the D60 4WD is lighter than the tracked variant while still providing substantial stability. Twin wheels with a single centre bolt allow easy fitting and removal, and skid-steer tyres on the front axle deliver optimal ground control. The machine width is just 800 mm, extending to 1,230 mm with twin wheels fitted.
The cutting head features 16 FSI 25 teeth on a specially designed two-part 581 mm diameter cutter wheel, driven through a bevel gearbox and V-belt system for optimal power transmission. The maximum cutting depth per sweep is 7.2 cm. The FSI power-sweep intelligent sweep control with autopilot automatically optimises grinding performance.
Full remote control operation comes as standard via a Scanreco unit with extra battery, charger, and connection cable. The sealed bearing housing for the cutter wheel is pre-greased from factory for over 1,000 hours, eliminating daily maintenance. Additional features include a flex chip guard, lockable fuel and hydraulic access points, LED work lights, integrated lashing and lifting points, and an integrated toolbox. An optional rear-mounted dozer blade is available.
