The FSI B38 is a professional-grade pedestrian stump grinder powered by a reliable Kohler ECH980 38 HP petrol engine. Designed for demanding daily use, the B38 delivers exceptional performance with its class-leading 217 cm sweep width, allowing operators to remove most stumps without repositioning the machine.
With a cutting depth of 47 cm below ground level and 91 cm above, the B38 handles a wide range of stump sizes with ease. The machine features FSI’s specially designed power-cut cutter wheel with 12 FSI 25 teeth, driven by an efficient V-belt system that maximises power transmission while minimising energy loss.
The FSI power-clutch is a heavy-duty hydraulic clutch with integrated brake, developed specifically for stump cutting applications. It provides fast braking of the cutter disc on disengaging, ensuring operator safety. The clutch is fully serviceable with all components available as individual spare parts.
At just 790 mm wide, the B38 fits through standard garden gates and narrow passages with ease. The hydraulic drive system with differential lock on the front wheels provides excellent traction, while automatic brakes on the wheels ensure safe operation on slopes. The 90-degree swivelling control panel gives the operator an optimal view of the cutting area.
Standard features include FSI power-sweep intelligent sweep control with autopilot, LED work lights, integrated lashing and lifting points, an integrated toolbox, and a complete tool set for wearing parts. The sealed bearing housing for the cutter wheel is pre-greased from factory for over 1,000 hours of operation, eliminating daily maintenance requirements.
