Unlike belt-driven competitors, the B31-980 uses a fully hydraulic cutter wheel drive system. This eliminates the need for daily V-belt adjustments and replacements, significantly reducing maintenance costs and downtime over the life of the machine.
The 467mm cutting wheel is fitted with the FSI 25 tooth system, carrying 8 carbide-tipped teeth that deliver a maximum cutting depth of 3.6cm per sweep. The hydraulic sweep system covers a generous 120cm arc, capable of cutting 68cm above ground level and 40cm below. This impressive depth capacity ensures complete stump removal well below the surface, allowing for immediate replanting, landscaping, or construction work above.
Mobility is provided by counter-rotating rubber tracks that deliver exceptional traction and manoeuvrability across challenging terrain.
