  • We’ve added the new Energreen RoboCompact to our Robo range. It’s the smallest and newest machine in Energreen’s remote-controlled tool carrier line, launched at FIMA 2026 in Spain where it picked up the Technical Innovation award in its category. At 25hp and 550kg, it’s built for the kind of slope, embankment and tight-access work where the bigger Robo machines would be more horsepower than the job needs.

    Who Are Energreen?

Energreen is an Italian manufacturer of professional vegetation management machinery. Their Robo line is the remote-controlled tracked tool carrier range, built for slopes too steep for ride-on or zero-turn mowers and for terrain where putting an operator on the machine would be a safety risk. We carry the full Robo range. The new RoboCompact now slots in below the RoboEvo (40hp), RoboMidi, RoboFifti (50hp) and RoboMax (75hp) we already stock.

    What the RoboCompact Is

    Engine and autonomy

The RoboCompact runs a 25hp three-cylinder Kubota diesel engine with direct injection (18.5 kW at 3400 RPM, liquid-cooled). The 19-litre fuel tank supports up to 12 hours of daily operation and close to 2,000 hours of annual running, per Energreen’s published figures. Kubota stage V diesels are widely used across professional groundcare machinery, with parts and service availability through the manufacturer’s UK dealer network.

    Remote control and slope capability

Remote operation runs through an AUTEC system, using Bluetooth at 2.4 GHz with proportional joysticks. The operator can work from up to 150 metres away from the machine. The RoboCompact handles slopes up to 61 degrees in any direction. Tracks with oscillating frames and sprocket wheels keep ground contact stable, and a low centre of gravity helps on uneven or low-friction surfaces. The remote operating distance also keeps the operator clear of hazards on steep or unstable ground.

    Hydraulics and attachments

The hydraulic system runs closed circuits for both traction and attachment operation, with an open circuit for auxiliary services. Quick couplings and an electro-hydraulically controlled floating lift system make attachment changes faster on site. The same chassis takes flail mowers, cutter bars, rakes, sweepers, tipping buckets, stump grinders and snow blowers, so one machine handles summer vegetation, autumn grounds work and winter snow clearance without separate kit for each season.

    Weight and dimensions

The RoboCompact weighs 550kg gross, which keeps it well within standard plant trailer transport and inside most site access widths a bigger Robo would struggle through. Compact footprint also means it can work on narrow roadside verges, embankment paths and small commercial sites without occupying half the working area.

How It Fits Into the Robo Range

The Energreen Robo lineup now runs to five machines. The RoboCompact at 25hp is the smallest and most compact, suited to verge maintenance, urban grounds, narrow access sites and jobs that don’t need the full output of the next size up. The RoboEvo at 40hp is the entry to the higher-output side of the range, with the RoboMidi and the RoboFifti at 50hp handling most professional vegetation contracts. The RoboMax at 75hp sits at the top of the lineup for serious forestry and large-scale grounds work.

Operators already running another Robo get the same AUTEC remote-control workflow and attachment compatibility on the new machine. That keeps fleet operation consistent across different sizes. The RoboCompact also opens up Energreen ownership to smaller operations that previously couldn’t justify the size or cost of the 40hp models.

Demos for the RoboCompact are available at our Cumbernauld workshop, where you can see the machine on real terrain and try the AUTEC remote yourself before deciding. We can also arrange on-site demos for contractors who want to see how the machine handles their actual ground conditions. Workshop service and parts support for the full Energreen Robo range run from Cumbernauld too, so the machine you buy is backed by the same team that services everything else we sell.
