The Sherpa 100 Diesel is a compact, diesel-powered mini loader that combines the proven Sherpa 100 chassis with a reliable Kubota D722 three-cylinder engine producing 20hp. The use of hydraulic engineering for both four-wheel-drive propulsion and machine-specific functions makes the 100 Diesel a versatile and manoeuvrable machine that is straightforward to operate and maintain across a wide range of industries.
The water-cooled Kubota D722 diesel engine delivers consistent torque and fuel efficiency, making it well suited to sustained operation throughout the working day. With a 16-litre fuel tank, the 100 Diesel offers extended running time between refuelling stops. The 12V electrical system with 45 Ah battery provides dependable starting in all conditions.
The hydrostatic drive system powers all four wheels through chain transmission, with skid steering providing tight manoeuvrability on site. A maximum proportional travel speed of 7 km/h ensures productive movement between working areas. The turning radius of 1,690mm, or 2,265mm with the bucket fitted, keeps the machine agile in confined spaces.
The hydraulic system delivers 30 litres per minute at 190 bar, the highest flow rate in the Sherpa 100 range. A breakout force of 630 kg and tractive force of 285 kg provide the power needed for loading, excavating, and material handling tasks. The hinge point coupling plate reaches a maximum height of 2,105mm, with maximum height including bucket at 2,600mm, giving generous clearance for loading into skips, trucks, and containers. The 48-litre hydraulic tank supports extended working sessions.
Weighing 712 kg with standard 20×11.00-8 trac profile tyres, the Sherpa 100 Diesel measures 1,520mm in length, 1,140mm in width, and 1,275mm in height without the bucket. Narrow 4.00-10 tyres are available as an option for applications requiring a reduced working width. Ground clearance of 176mm and a wheelbase of 657mm ensure stable operation across uneven terrain.
Tipping loads with pallet forks at low position are 262 kg (straight) and at high position 174 kg (straight), with a 30% safety factor recommended. The machine is compatible with the full range of Sherpa 100 attachments including buckets, pallet forks with clamp, and hydraulic log grabs. The higher kerb weight of the diesel model compared to the petrol variant provides additional stability under load, particularly when working with heavier materials.
